Could Do with some help..

Hey All, could do with some help.

Just recently downloaded 3.99, after reading all the posts on TWC about the Khazad Dum faction and thought the challenge sounded awesome. But i ran into the problem of not being able to move units from out of the Citadel..

I tried Bela's suggestion from here;

And all i succeeded in doing was killing Balin and his heir (admittedly, i got slightly frustrated that it wasn't working, and dragged their cards to Durins Tower.. Insta-Death) I had a look here, and there doesn't seem to be another fix for it, and the Bug Fix for 3.99 states Bela wasn't able to fix it and there's no updates after that saying if he was or not.. So i was a'wondering if any of you had a fix? As i'd really love to get into this Mod.

I don't really get how you managed to kill Balin and his heir.

It should work, I tried that several times. When I go home in the evening, I'll check it once again and give you a step-by-step guide about it.

And do not use the bugfix. It do not solve the garrison units problem, don't know why (and there's another bug in it, which I did not solve as we decided to concentrate on the new build). But as 4.0 is coming soon (really. We are 60% done, and the most time consuming parts are mostly done, so it is now a matter of free time for me to put things together), I think you can play with the 3.999 if you can't wait for 4.0.

Drag Balins Unit card from in the Khazad Dum Citadel, up to Durins Tower or somewhere nearby to it on top of the mountains and he'll die, i don't know if that's a Vanilla bug or what, but i was quite surprised by it, lol.

Glad to hear 4.0 is nearing completion, from all i've read on TWC it sounds fantastic.

I think I see the problem! Do not drag the unit card, just simply click on it from the Army list. The green light should appear then. But once again, I must check it in the evening.

Near completion is a bit too optimistic, it takes several weeks/months to add and test all features.

I tried clicking on him, didn't work :/ The only way i could get the Green light to appear was Ctrl+A, and it only appeared for a fraction of a second, i'll try it again later on though.

If you guys need any testers/more testers for 4.0, i'd happy to help.

So, try the following:

1. right click on the Army list (just to the right from the Missions button)
2. right click on Balin's portrait
3. press ctrl+a
4. without closing the army list, try selecting any troops of Balin and move with it. (you can close the right window)

Any feedback should be great as always.

Also just found another fix, if you drag their unit card to somewhere they can actually travel (ie right outside the citadel) it will move them. Your way is alot less awkward and fiddly though.
