    Some small bugs

    Playing 3.99

    Playing as Gondor : Golben Tolfalas has an town watch and bowyer, but neither seem to actually work - either creating a new unit or retraining. Maybe because it is a village? EDIT: Definitely due to village, once upgraded it works.

    Minas Tirish/Tower of Ecthelion has some of the unique buildings, but the cards are not showing.

    Playing as Eryn Lasgadan : OTMM king is silver in bodyguard unit (done twice with different generals)

    Playing as Dwarves of Blue Mountain : you are probably aware but cards for non-general units are all aztec, as is the shield on battle HUD.

    Will keep on testing. Looking forward to 4.0

    Hi Dac Team, I downloaded your mod yesterday, good work guys.

    I've been playing as the Elves of Lorien and I just wiped out the Shadow of Mirkwood faction. But as I took their last settlement and went to occupy it, the game froze and the cursor just did the spinning ring thing.

    I'm sorry I'm not very familiar with sending bug reports. I'll try and get better at them. Smile

    I had tha same problem.

    It is the horde script which seems to be the cause of the problem : the game was not frozen, you just have to be patient, it takes about 5 minutes.

    Sorry guys, you must have slow systems.. Nagrat script fires when you take D.G. or Angmar before destroying Sauron (Barad Dur).

    Golben Tolfalas needs to gain population and upgrade the core building to get its first recruitment slots.

    Minas Tirish/Tower of Ecthelion missing cards.. Blame axnsan, we'll need to strip the edb and descr_regions to fix this because for the life of me i have tried t fix it but axnsan done something and not even he could fix his own mistake..

    OTMM king is silver in bodyguard unit - good find! added to list.

    Dwarves of Blue Mountain, aztec, needs fixing.

    The script works perfectly with other factions, the slow problem is only with DG. And I can assure you I don't have a slow system (I work in computer graphics).

    I'll do other tests and I'll report here

    if someone can post the log generated with *trace i'll take a look and that will stop any speculation.

    to get a trace log run the game using test .bat / .cfg

    Just started a Shadow of Angmar campaign, there are some things I've seen until now:
    -the Enemy army routs event picture is the Northmen one, just like the Enemy General Fallen during battle (the enemy army was of Rebels, with an orc commander)
    -changing the tax scroll has no effect on population growth and public order, only on income
    -the warchief has the Guardian Of the Black Gate trait
    -at turn 11 a new army appeared without any event messages

    I think it's no doublepost if I write about a different subject as previously, or is it? Don't know, anyway..

    I don't know for sure if DAC supports Custom Battles, but the Shadow of Angmar faction is missing from the cutom battle factions list. (but I love the OotMM banner opening its EYE when moving the cursor on it!)

    One more, I found a rebel army called unaligned army. [img][/img]Shouldn't they be called rebels?

    The Rangers are getting on my nerves!!!
    I am not getting anything from that log, they seem to be regular missing .tga errors..

    Did the crash occur when in battle mode? immediately at the moment it enters battle mode? Or was it at the point Rangers attacked on the strategy map, before the battle scroll pops up? or was it when you pressed 'auto resolve' or 'fight battle'??

    When errors like this happen I kind of want to cancel the project and start again adding one faction slowly and finish each faction before moving onto the next.
    Like the VoA team have done!

    anyways.. if i had more time i would rebuild DaC again form the foundations myself..

    The crash happened at the battlefield (I chosed Fight Battle to see the Aragorn model) when I finished deployment and clicked "Start Battle".The problem may be that they have received reinforcements (led by Aragorn) as I've played several battles against them before (both autoresolve and fighting on the battlemap) and there was no problem (and they had no reinforcements).

    I just had another CTD while playing with the Rangers at turn 48, DaC patch 3.992, while the AI was doing Gondor's turn. I think there is sonething wrong with one of Gondor's scripts or triggers because I had a similar CTD in turn 22 and after a few times the game didnt give me CTD, which means what happend before doesnt happen anymore and I can continue playing. I dont know which log to post since I have 3 now because I used the test.bat file.

    BATTLE GUI SHOWS BLOCKS OF WHITE

    I've installed okay and the game runs in every other way but in my first battle tonight (Rohan Vs. Rebels) much of the GUI was block white. I had to retreat in desgrace as I couldn't pick my troop types or see the over-map (all block white).

    The Battle Banners were nice to see though!!!

    Aye, sure - this is my first battle (in the western lands of Rohan) in turn three were I've sent young Prince Theoden with a quickly assembled army to take the rebel settlement far to the west of the Hornburgh. I LOVE THE BANNERRRRRRRRRS - magic! So look forward to tweaking them more once all my pre 4.0 roll-overs and GUI symbols are in.

    This is using the very latest DaC4.0FilesBuild30.09.09 patcher on top of DAC 3.992.001 on a pure bedrock of Third_AgeDAC.7z.001 and Third_AgeDAC.7z.002. I had deleted the map.rwm files. I DID turn unlimited men on battlefield from 1 to 0 = dunno if that'd mess it up. But that's all I've altered.

    For me it was the same when installed DAC first. Then I installed the 3.992 version and turned unit details from highest to high and the white UI disappeared (in vanilla, the hotfix "cured" this bug).
    In TWC, there are tips to remove this, one said to delete the battl.sd in the data\ui folder.

    That worked Bela! Removed the battl.sd and the white all vanished!

    Dwarves of the Blue Mountains

    Built a brothel in Neniual, it says in the description that it will allow the creation of a spy, but no slot appears in the recruitment panel.

    Men/Hobbits of Bree

    Town Halls can't create diplomats - is this done on purpose for gameplay/lore reasons?

    Other suggestions - I played a hotseat game with Gondor and after a couple of attempts to capture Osgiliath the orcs just sat in Mordor and generated huge armies sending a couple of spies via the black gate I reckon they had about 45 full stacks waiting to invade, but no invasion came, even after 60 turns. I know the spamming is annoying but am I waiting in vain for these armies to come attack me?

    I played a very long Gondorcampain and had 2 two serious bugs.

    1) I was not able to move some armies out of a city.
    If i want to click on an army its not highlighted.
    This happend to me in Minas Ithil and in Kazad Dum.

    2) In an very late game i wanted to take the last city
    of run. Once i took the city the game freezes forever.
    I killed the game after half an hour.

    Same with Barad Dur. It was the last city left of Mordor
    and i killed already all armies on map but once i took
    the city the whole game freezes.

    I had no problems wiping out Harad and Corsair. The only thing
    i noticed was that it took a couple of minutes to generate the
    hordes.

    Some Minor things:
    Some Factions(especially Rohan and Silvan Elves ) need ages to finish the turn.

    The minimap looks different to the original one. I think this is a feature not a bug but is it possible to switch to the original minimap because i like to see the regions of the map.

    The dwarfes of Khazad Dum need ages to build an army. I think they should start with a higher culture.

    Is it possible to change from evil to good. I played harad and killed corsair and went into a war with mordor and run. I mad peace with gondor and payed them whatever i have as a tribute to keep them happy but they are still breaking peace whenever they want.

    I can refer to the army move only. Unfortunately this happens sometimes with mods, this is not Divide and Conquer specific. Make sure to have a general in town (Khazad-dum or Minas Ithil), open the army list (right click on the army symbol next to the missions symbol), search your general in the town, left click on him and you can move immediately. Unfortunately if there are no generals in town, you can not move them.

    Referring to the Dwarves of Khazad-dum, there will be lots of changes, so it will be a bit different in 4.0, believe me! Smile

    Unfortunately there is no chance to turn from evil to good, you have to change your culture to do so, which is impossible, as long as I know.
